Dom GRAY

Dom Gray is a British contemporary artist.

In his current body of work, Dom Gray’s focus is on the exploration of materiality, immersing viewers in the realm of everyday aesthetics through observation, process, assimilation, and abstraction.
Central to the work is the resolute reduction of the palette, thoughtfully chosen to accentuate the unfolding of colour histories while liberating the work from the constraints of conventional narrative. Gray’s unique application of paint, which unveils layers beneath the surface, intentionally leaves edges unfinished, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces.
What may initially appear bold and unyielding transforms upon closer examination, revealing a subtle fragility that resides within each piece.
