15 March – 25 April 2026
Frédérick Mouraux Gallery, Brussels, Belgium
Opening Sunday 15 March from 2 to 7 pm
Frédérick Mouraux Gallery presents an exclusive exhibition of Fab Rideti's series created as part of the Carte Blanche project commissioned by Tribe Hotels (Accor).
Accustomed to staged portraits and imaginary characters, Rideti rose to the challenge by appropriating these sleekly designed spaces to stage scenes from reinvented urban fairy tales.
Fab Rideti revisits the iconic female figures of fairy tales, reinventing them with poetry and impertinence. Her heroines are modern, free, and multifaceted. They encounter temptation, defy danger, flirt with melancholy or absurdity, but always remain powerful and resolutely contemporary.
Rideti once again creates a staged, theatrical, and narrative photograph, where the image functions as a painting. Each composition is constructed with extreme precision: poses, controlled lighting, bold color palettes, and repurposed accessories. Her aesthetic signature combines humor, gentle irony, and cultural references in a cinematic and resolutely graphic universe.
The artist’s gaze transforms space into scenery, her characters into symbols, and everyday life into fiction.
